SANIBEL ISLAND

Only about 14 miles long and a mile or two wide, Sanibel is known worldwide for its shells and beaches. Home to about 3,500 year-round SANIBEL ISLAND residents including ourselves, Sanibel seasonal population can be almost 10 times that many folks, mostly between Thanksgiving and Easter.
